You never know who needs a smile or a kind word, so why not give them out freely!
My grandmother passed soon after I graduated college. This is quite possibly our last picture together.
And again, she was telling me how proud she was of me...
There is no love like a grandparent's love. I have heard that phrase often. I used to believe it.
But today, I challenge it.
My grandmother was always there for me.
Never doubting, always believing in me.
Always encouraging me to be the best that I could be, without ever making me feel that I didn't already shine.
She stood beside me, behind me and even carried me at times.
Then came the moment when our roles reversed.
I can't put my finger on exactly when, but
I found myself giving more, doing more, loving more.
Supporting my grandmother as she had always shown me support.
It was at that point in time that I realized,
There is no love like a grandchild's love.
My grandmother helped mold me into the person that I have become.
The person that believes in:
Encouraging others to be kind.
